Voting Resources.

As Tribal members, one of the greatest influence you can have on your community is to vote. If you want to vote in the elections for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes you must be a resident of the reservation, 21 years of age or older, and also an enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes.

Primary Election: March 26th, 2021.


General Election: May 28th, 2021.

Are You Registered to Vote?

Requirements to be a registered voter:

  • An enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Resident of the Fort Hall Indian Reservation for a year

Key Documents and Resources

Deadline to Register to Vote:  February 26th, 2021. If you would like to register to vote you can: 

  • Download the Voter Registration Application or pick up and fill out from the east side of the Tribal Business Center. Leave the completed form in the locked box that is provided.
  • Request a Voter Registration Application to be mailed call the Election Board Secretary Angela Diaz at (208)339-4985

Voting By Mail or Drop Off

The primary election is voting by mail, so the ballots will be mailed on March 1st to registered voters. Ballots must be received by March 26, 2021. A ballot box for in person drop off will be located at the Tribal Business Center March 24th - 26th from 8AM to 5PM.
